Made a mistake coming here.
I went by there (Bastrop location) one night to get a trim. It was about an hour before closing, so there was plenty of time. They were not busy at all. I went up to the counter to check in & let her know I had a coupon (big mistake). I asked her if she could give me a shampoo first, but instead she said "well go ahead & sit down first so we can have a little chat". So I sat in her chair and she immediately started sifting through my hair as if she were looking for something. 10 seconds later she informs me that I had lice & that it's been "going around the high school". She could see that I had my teenage daughter with me (she was not in HS, however). So of course, I'm embarrassed & humiliated. She tells me she can't cut my hair & then tries to sell me a $40 lice kit. Which is obviously way more than they'd make giving me a $5.99 haircut. I declined & left. I went home & had my family check my hair. All they found were TWO dandruff flakes. So the next day I dropped by to see my doctor. She said "who told you that?! You only have a very mild case of dandruff". She also said that they should not be diagnosing medical conditions. My husband called the manager to let them know what happened. No apology, just "we'll talk to her". That was over 2 years ago. I didn't get my hair cut that day & I still have not had my hair cut professionally. It was an awful experience & I don't know when I'll ever be able to step into a hair salon again. Thanks Great Clips.
Absolutely horrible. The girl who washed and plowed dried my hair but Susie is very unprofessional and will argue with the customer. She proceeded to argue with me saying I had lice or the eggs and I told her that I spent over $100 for treatment at home and even went to the urgent care and they gave me a paper showing I do not have lice and that it was bad dandruff from post pregnancy hormones and she proceeds to tell me that I had the eggs. Along with the fact that she made me wait outside the store till almost 9:05. I will not go back there and will miss Ms Ady cutting my families hair
Eh a good place to get a cheap quick trim. Just call in advance to beat the line.
Fine for kid's haircuts, but people are allowed to check in and get in line before they arrive, so you might be there first, but you won't be seen in order of arrival
Just stay clear of this place. A haircut here is the equivalent of getting a tooth crowned at a Guadalajara dental school.
Go to Floyd's in Austin. It only costs $3 more and the people know what they're doing.
