Normal working people can not get to the post office with the limited hours they are open. They need to have longer hours or longer hours on a Saturday. Plus the long lines due to their short hours they are open is also a major issue.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst post office I have ever used. I have had two employees now be absolutely horrid to me.
They do not deliver packages to ur box or leave a key to a bigger box for you to retrieve your packages. They leave a slip of paper, which you then have to take to the office to turn in. Then the rude employees will give you your package. The line is always out the door, unless you get there right when they open. This is very frustrating. One girl told me it's because I have to sign for the package. But another girl previously told me that it was because they don't have enough big boxes to leave them in. Both girls very rude.
Would ask for better hours, maybe stay open until 5pm. I commute to north Austin and am lucky to make it back to Bastrop by 4:30, usually it's 4:45pm. Makes getting to the post office a challenge.
The PO boxes are like something from the 1900s. It's a spin dial combination lock that is arcaic. It always takes me at least three tries to even get it open. And of course, mine is on the bottom row so I'm always like sitting in the floor, holding a baby, trying to get into the stupid thing.
All my experiences with the Bastrop post office have been good. I've never had a problem and my mail box is small causing them to have to bring the package back to the post office many times and everyone has treated me well. Thanks for promptly and efficiently delivering our mail.
I seriously can't stand this place.
Never answer the phone holding my package for over a week kept saying they couldn't find it and lied about it. They seem lazy when you ask for help
