The appointment started a bit late, but I find a lot of decent offices have that issue, so no matter.
BASTROP Medical Clinic is a very friendly and professional facility. We are new to BASTROP and stopped in to get appointment, and saw the great Doctor within 3 days.
Overall, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and caring. I'll update this further once I see Battle himself, but if the rest of his clinic is anything to go by, I think we'll get along fine.
Highly recommend this Clinic.
She was able to identify the issue within a few minutes, and I immediately got a referral. We also ran some other tests for other issues and I got a prescription for something unrelated, all within a fairly short time span.
The nurse practitioner was great, before she went on leave. The doctor that I had to see had the worst bed side manner. He was short with me, almost vague and offered little solution. As a doctor, is it not your responsibility, no matter how busy, to help with a solution to an issue. This doctor sucked at it and kept asking me if I wanted to dive deeper????What the heck did that mean? I will not be seeing him again.
I went to this place to get a drug screening...that's it. These people treated me like I was getting a drug screening because I was on probation or something. NOPE! I just got a new job - not a criminal. They were rude and talked to me like I have the IQ of a 4-year-old. I went in on my lunch break to find a sign on their door giving the hours in which they would perform drug screenings. I, of course, was not there within those hours. But, I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. I asked the lady at the window if the person that does the screenings was in. She pointed to the sign and told me that those were the hours that I could get a drug screening. THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED! I asked again and found out that she was not in, but I can read. I came back at about 3:45 (within the hours posted) and the girl at the window, same girl, copied my license, handed me a form, and told me to fill it out and wait in the next room over. I did so. About 15 minutes pass and the girl at the other window asked me if I had been helped. Apparently, I was supposed to fill out the form and talk to her - not just wait. I went back, finally. I was told to "go" in the cup and put it in the box on the wall that was also accessible from the other side of the wall. The cup was unmarked. I did so. When I came out of the restroom, she was labeling the cup and filling out paperwork. I was asked to initial and sign. I questioned why the cup had left my sight and I was still supposed to sign saying it was mine. It was not labeled when I "went" and I didn't know that girl. She spoke to me like I was an idiot and said "There's only ONE cup, ma'am." Seriously? So, there's only ONE CUP IN EXISTENCE?! I didn't even see a doctor at this place, but I will NEVER be back just because the front office staff is so incredibly rude. I don't appreciate being treated like cattle or spoken to like I am stupid, and nor does anyone else.
I had some sudden inguinal swelling with no other symptoms one day, which concerned the Hell out of me. I was able to squeeze in an appointment on the same day, less than two hours from when I called.
I am very pleased with my visit to the clinic. I was a walk in and had been waiting for a while. The receptionist stepped in and called another doctor up to help me. He was quick and efficient. I was pleased with his treatment and am going to make them my regular doctor.
