I took my son here because of a change in insurance. I will never go again. I waited about an hour to be called back(which was understandable since we did a walk-in). Once we were called back, the nurse was rude. We waited another 30-45 minutes in the room. The doctor arrived and told me that my son is underweight(his original doctor never told me that. He's just a small baby. Completely healthy). She said he shouldn't be drinking too much milk or juice. No water. No Pedialyte. What is supposed to drink, beer? Basically every answer I gave her to her questions was wrong in her opinion. I couldn't wait to get out of that office.
Tired of diagnosing yourself through google and always winding up with "cancer"?! Then give Dr Akkanti's place a call. I like it because I can just walk-in. If I don't feel good, I want to go in that day. I don't want to wait a few days for an appointment. Yes, of course it takes a bit longer, c'mon people! Anyways, I always see Ms Chara--awesome lady. She's been successfully treating my hypochondria for what, 6-7 years now? I'd never go anywhere else : )
I have been to Dr. Akkanti and the PA Chara Brown several times and each time was a horrible experience. They were dishonest with me, the office is dirty, and the staff is barely friendly. I felt rushed through each visit like they couldn't get me out fast enough. They did not take the time to listen to my questions or concerns and the one time they did, my concerns were immediately dismissed flippantly. This office is basically a walk in clinic with 2 poor to mediocre doctors who seem to have profit in mind rather than their patients. After 3 or 4 visits I realized there was a pattern and found a new doctor. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who cares about forming a relationship with their doctors or clear and transparent medical care.
Great Doctors and staff. I've been taking my son there since birth, and they are very friendly and care for their patients in a very caring way!!!
Called 1st thing in the morning and made an appointment when my son had to stay home from school and waited in the lobby a little over 1.5hrs. Once we were called back it only took about 5 minutes and the doc new instantly was the problem was and acts accordingly. Very nice doc, the staff at the front could learn a few communication skills, but they did change my son's PCP for him due to the old one moving to another location. Kudos for the assist, shame on making the 25 people in the lobby wait for so long.
